Drag and Drop
The simplest way to upload multiple files into Reduct is to simply drag a set of files - or a whole folder - into the left-hand side, under Recordings, like shown below.
Reduct will perform audio/video file detection, and upload each a/v file as a separate recording. Previously uploaded files will not be re-uploaded.
β
Files upload one by one. If there is a problem during your batch upload, just refresh the page, and drag and drop everything you are trying to upload in again. Because we skip files that have already uploaded, this resumes just the files which haven't finished uploading.

New recording
You can also create a New Recording first. This will create a new recording object that you can access using the sidebar on the left of your screen (when it's on the "Recordings" tab).
Combining multiple files into one recording
Sometimes, it makes sense to combine multiple files into one Recording in Reduct. For example, you may have court proceedings recorded in increments of ten minutes, or your camera or audio recording device may create several files ("Tara_01", "Tara_02", "Tara_03", etc) for a single recording session.
After you create a new recording and click "Upload files," you can simply select all of the files that should be combined into one recording, or drag-and-drop all the files into reduct in one go. You can also click on the the "Add additional video or audio files for this recording" button to select files one by one instead of selecting them all at once, letting you control the sequence they are added in more reliably. Note that they cannot be rearranged once added.
If you are looking to upload non-audiovisual files to a recording, you can upload them as attachments.
