Most of the time, Reduct's Premiere extension will guide you to the proper source for linking - the Multi-camera source sequence.
Multi-camera sequences and Multi-camera source sequences are not the same thing, but there's a good chance Premiere gave them the same title, and this can cause confusion. See the video below for more.
