Paragraph breaks
Updated over a week ago

Regular paragraph breaks that represent speaker changes and changes in topic help make a transcript much easier to skim and to read, particularly in combination with accurately renamed speakers.

Reduct's transcripts come with paragraphs and identified speakers, but sometimes, you might want to correct or override them. With a recording's transcript open, you can add and remove paragraph breaks, and extract or combine paragraphs.

Which action occurs when you press the button at the top of the screen depends on where the playhead is located, and whether a transcript text selection has been made; note that the button text changes depending on context. You can also use the keyboard shortcut p to rapidly manipulate the paragraphs in your transcript, without having to move the mouse up to the button.
