Translations in Reduct
Updated over a week ago

In addition to transcribing content in any of the 90+ languages we support, Reduct can also translate between any of these languages to another.

Note: this feature is in beta. Please email support@reduct.video if your workspace does not have access, and would like access.

Translate to a new language

Click on "Translations," and "New Translation," and select the desired language. Your translation will be ready in a few minutes.

Viewing the translation, correcting transcripts, downloading captioned video

You can switch to viewing the translation using the same menu. Translations can be corrected (select some text, and hit "Correct" or use the keyboard shortcut "x").

You can export translations of the whole recording - subtitles can be downloaded as an .srt file, and captioned video as an .mp4 file, and legal format transcripts as .txt and .pdf. (.docx export support is in progress.)

You can also download captioned video clips by selecting some text and hitting "Download." Captions will be in the language that currently in view:

Side-by-side view

You can also look at the original language and a translation side-by-side. This view allows for easier correction, as well as a way to compare whether the translation capture the finer nuances of what was said.
