Creating a new Reduct Account

Welcome to Reduct!

This guide will help you create a new Reduct account so that you can try out our features.

Follow these simple steps to get started. If you have any questions, please reach out to support@reduct.video.

Setting up your account

  1. Go to the Reduct website

Open a web browser of your choice (Chrome, Safari, Edge, etc.) and type in the url ‘app.reduct.video’. You don’t need to download any piece of software to your computer.

You will see a login screen. But first, you’ll need to create a new Reduct account

  1. Sign up for Reduct

Click on the Sign up button towards the bottom of the page.

You will now see two different options:

Option 1 - Sign up using your existing Google Account.

Click the button with the Google icon and choose the account you’d like to use for Reduct.

Option 2: Sign up using your email.

Click on the textbox that says ‘Sign up with your email address’, enter your email, and click the Sign up button.

  1. Verify your email address

After entering your email address, you should see a pop-up asking you to verify it. Now, head to your inbox and look for an email from Reduct.Video.

It should look something like this—just click on Get Started.

  1. Set a password

After a successful verification, you will see a page similar to the login screen.

Enter a strong password for your account that meets all the requirements. Then click Set Password.

  1. Getting started with Reduct

When you log in for the first time, you will see a screen like this. Just click on the Start trial button.

We require you to add a credit card to start a free trial.

This is for security reasons. We won’t automatically charge you until you upgrade your account to a paid plan.

Now add in your credit card details. Then click on Set Card.

Next, fill in your workspace name (eg. Colorado State Public Defenders). This will be the space for all your files and where you invite your team members.

Click on the Set name button.

Now, you have an option to invite your team members by just entering their email addresses.

Or skip this step and do it later.

You’ve now successfully created a Reduct Account. You can try out all the features of Reduct, including 2 hours of transcription, free of charge.
