Presenting video in a separate window with pop-out mode

Your transcript view in Reduct often holds things you can't share with everyone in the room. You might have labels, comments, internal notes, or strategy in there. Pop-out mode lets you show the video on its own, in its own window, while you keep your transcript private.

You can still navigate the same way you always have. Click any word in the transcript, and the video jumps straight to that moment. Nothing changes about how you find what you need.

Here are two common ways you might use it

• In person. Pop the video out and drag it to a second monitor or a projector. Your audience sees the video on screen, while you keep working from the transcript on your own screen.
• Remote. Pop the video out and share that window on Zoom. The people on your call see only the video, while you navigate the video using the transcript from your main Reduct window.

Here's how the pop-out works

1. In the video player, click on the right-most icon.

2. Select the New window option.

3. This pops the video out into a tab.

4. Now move that window to where you want your audience to see it.

• If you're using a second monitor or a projector, drag the window over to the extended screen.
• If you're on Zoom, drag the tab to its own window, and share just that window instead of your whole screen.

You can now navigate the video using the transcript in your Reduct tab. Click on any word to jump to that moment in the video in another tab/screen.

Insider tips:

• On Zoom, share just that one window instead of your whole screen. That way, your transcript, notes, and notifications stay off the call.
• And if you have multiple screens set up, use extended screen setup when presenting. And make sure to pop out the video into the display that’s presented.
