(1) Welcoming our first class of Public Defenders to Reduct!
Our biggest news is welcoming the first class of former public defenders to Reduct. Read about Maya, Maya, and Jeff here - https://reduct.video/news/reduct-welcomes-new-pds
(2) Import from Evidence.com launched for two additional jurisdictions
We have updated our evidence.com cloud-to-cloud import to work for two additional jurisdictions. If your office receives audio/video from evidence.com and you’d like to import it directly (rather than having people first download it, and then upload it), please let us know so we can include you!
(3) Custom summaries
Earlier this year, we released “by topic” summaries, which quickly became the favorite summarization tool. Now, we released “custom” summaries — you can input your own set of questions and generate a summary of the transcript focused on answering those questions.
How to use: click on the Interact menu, and select “Custom” under Summarize. You can then enter a custom set of questions to summarize the recording by. These questions are saved to the project, but can be customized on a recording-by-recording basis.

(4) Multi-camera highlighting, tagging, and selection-based composite reel creation
In the multi-camera view, you can now highlight the transcript, and highlight or tag all of the recordings at a specific time. You can also create a composite reel from a selection in the transcript.
Highlight
Select text, and highlight. The highlight is applied on that section of the video / transcript across all recordings.

Tag:
You can add tags, which allows easy reference and review of all of the tagged sections via the Tags tab.

Composite Reel Creation
Finally, you can combine these selections to see a composite in one place. This allows you to see, hear and show a particular incident from all captured angles.
