Product Update - September 2025

Sharing the updates we made to Reduct in September! Please forward this to anyone using or piloting Reduct at your office.

đź’ˇNote:

If you missed our Summer 2025 product update, you can view it here.

New product updates:

  • Public defense summary templates
  • Summaries on the sidebar
  • Ask a project out of beta
  • Loading speed improvements
  • Upcoming: Documents in Reduct!

(1) Public defense summary templates

Specific case types – say a DUI – require a predictable set of questions you always need to ask. Working with our public defense team, we created AI summary templates for common types of audio/video you receive  (body-worn camera, 911 calls, interrogation videos, and forensic interviews), categorized by case type (assault, robbery, gun case, drug possession, etc.), so the AI can get you started analyzing the transcript.

How to access: When viewing a recording, click on “Interact,” and then “Templates.”

(2) Summaries on the right sidebar

Summaries are now much easier to review! When you clicked on a link in the summary, the transcript used to scroll, and it was difficult to reference the summary again. Summaries now automatically shift to the right sidebar when you click on a link, so the process of navigating to multiple sources is much easier.

How to access: After generating a summary (via the “Interact” menu), click on a link.

(3) “Ask a recording” is out of beta

Our “Ask the recording a question” feature has been updated in several ways, and is now out of beta! We are also working on extending this feature to the project-level (so you can ask a single question across  multiple recordings).

How to access: Click on “Interact” and then “Ask a recording.”

(4) Loading speed improvements

We are in the midst of rolling out a huge update to Reduct’s technical infrastructure, which should make loading speeds much faster.

(5) Upcoming: Documents in Reduct

Finally, we’ve been working on a major new update! Soon, you’ll be able to upload documents (pdfs, images, text files) so that you can manage all of your discovery in one place. Let me know if you'd like to get early access to this feature as it gets closer to release!
