Big News: Reduct Now Supports Documents & Photos!
You’ve been asking, and we delivered. Reduct now supports files beyond video and audio files. You can now upload your entire paper discovery file directly into the platform and use the same keyword search, summarization, and highlighting functions you’ve already been using on your audio and video discovery.
What can you upload?
Pretty much everything. We now support a long list of file formats, including:
- Documents: .pdf, .txt, .odt, .xlsx, .xls, .ods, .odp, .ppt
- Images: BMP, CR2, ICO, JPEG, DNG, JPE, JPG, JP2, GIF, WEBP, TGA, SGI, PSD, PNG, TIFF, NEF, XBM, PICT, RAW
See full list of supported file formats->
Now, instead of bouncing between three different programs, you can throw your entire case file into Reduct and scrub through all of your discovery in one single place.
Real-Case Impact: 1,000 Pages Summarized in Seconds
We gave early access to defense attorneys Kevann Gardner and Bernadette Armand, and they put it to the ultimate test. In the middle of trial, they were hit with a surprise document dump of over 1,000 pages of medical records. With literally zero time to read through it all, they used Reduct’s summarization feature to find exactly what they needed in seconds.

Practice Pointer: Crafting Your Cross Chapters
Now that Reduct handles audio, video, and paper discovery, your trial prep just got a major upgrade. You can start building your cross-examination chapters right inside the software.
How to do it:
Label every single officer statement across body-cam footage, audio recordings, and hearing transcripts. Reduct will pull those clips and excerpts into one centralized place. When it’s time to draft your cross, you won’t be flipping through pages or fast-forwarding videos–every statement they made will be captured on one screen.

What Else is Happening?
The Reduct Masterminds Group Has Launched!
This month, we officially kicked off our first Reduct Masterminds group. This is an incredible cohort of users from across the country who meet regularly to share pro-tips, brainstorm clever ways to leverage the software, and tell us exactly what features we should build next to support public defenders.
