What formats does Reduct accept?

We accept almost any format containing video or audio content.

The most common files we see are .mp4, which you might see in export options as "H.264" or "MPEG-4". That's the default format for many digital video cameras and other video services, and it's generally an efficient format that results in sensible file sizes.

We also support footage in mov, avi, mkv, wmv, m4v, and audio in mp3, wav, and many more.

Reduct supports many formats, including some pretty obscure ones. If it's listed on this page, our system supports it. If you have footage in a specific format and want to check if we support it, please get in touch by emailing us at support@reduct.video and we'll look into it.

Reduct does not support .exe files.

If you have a .exe file, you can double-click this file, and the video player that opens will often have have an option to export a video file (look for a format listed above). You can then upload this exported audio/video file to Reduct.
